Chapter 1: Seeking Honest Feedback

Recently, I found myself engaging with various subreddits and Facebook groups, soliciting feedback from strangers on the internet to assess my content. The motivation behind this? My content was struggling to gain views.

It's disheartening to invest countless hours and mental energy into crafting content, only to watch it fade into obscurity. However, bringing in a fresh perspective can often illuminate aspects that I might have overlooked. My deep involvement in content creation and editing left me little room to step back and evaluate what truly resonates with my audience. The relationship between consistency and auditing is crucial; while batch creation may seem efficient, I neglected the essential follow-up of effectively marketing my work.

Realizing the Importance of Post-Publication Efforts

As a solo creator, this became apparent to me daily while monitoring my LinkedIn analytics after a week of consistent posting.

In my quest for improvement, I received some tough love. The feedback was blunt: my thumbnails were lackluster, my titles were confusing, and it was premature to seek feedback after only producing ten videos. This experience prompted me to acknowledge the long-term nature of this journey. To make my content successful, I need to remain committed and continue producing for at least three months before evaluating the data meaningfully.

Nonetheless, I don't want to wait indefinitely for my content to gain traction. Therefore, I am actively working on enhancing various elements: timing of publications, keywords, titles, thumbnails, and researching creators in my niche.
