Recently, I found myself devoid of motivation and enthusiasm for training for my ultra marathon. After experiencing numerous highs and lows, I sought something to reignite my drive. Instead of a mere nudge, my inspiration skyrocketed, and I became more eager than ever to explore my physical capabilities.

I typically shy away from self-improvement literature, as many offer repetitive advice and similar strategies. However, I realized my assumptions were misguided when I encountered this particular book.

About the Author

David Goggins, a retired Navy SEAL, stands out as the only individual in the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training, Army Ranger School, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training. To date, he has participated in over sixty ultra-marathons, triathlons, and ultra-triathlons, consistently placing in the top five. Goggins gained notoriety for setting a Guinness World Record with 4,030 pull-ups completed in 17 hours.

Now recognized as one of the world’s premier endurance athletes, Goggins has also inspired many through speeches at universities and high schools, promoting enlistment in the U.S. Armed Forces.
