A Journey Through Miracles: My Divine Encounters

Chapter 1: The Awakening of Miracles

In my life, I have encountered another significant miracle from God.

Beautiful reader, your essence is truly remarkable. In my previous article, I recounted how Pastor Ben served as a channel for God's Spirit, resulting in my leg growing and alleviating my lower back pain through a remarkable healing. The following night, inspired by the Spirit, I prayed for Joyce, who also experienced the same miracle. It brings me joy to share the reality of miracles from the Holy Trinity. Experiencing a miracle is indeed extraordinary, yet living in a constant state of closeness with the divine is equally miraculous.

I openly admit that I am in a lifelong romance with the Trinity. I want to share with you another miracle that I received with immense gratitude. It was during the 1990s when we were part of King's Church, located along the picturesque seafront in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Naturally, I formed friendships with the younger congregation members, drawn to their enthusiasm and vibrancy. My then-husband and I frequently welcomed them into our apartment above a pharmacy, often gathering fifteen or more in our cozy living room on Sunday evenings.

As we warmed ourselves by the fire, we shared lively conversations and laughter. One particular evening, after coming in from the icy chill of winter, our group was hungry for a late-night snack we fondly referred to as supper. We enjoyed buns and toast laden with jam, accompanied by steaming mugs of tea. Those were truly wonderful days, filled with the richness of friendship.

The church leadership believed that the young members would benefit from a mission trip to Morocco and extended an invitation for me to join, given our close friendship. We were eager for adventure and to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Moroccan culture. However, intertwined with this invitation was a personal dilemma. My husband and I had been contemplating starting a family, and I hesitated about the right decision. If I committed to Morocco and then became pregnant, I would have to cancel my plans, disappointing my friends.

Then came a moment of divine intervention. It was a chilly December night when Pastor John invited a guest speaker, James, a respected prophet. After his talk, he invited anyone interested to come forward for prophetic words. Although I typically communicated directly with the Trinity, I felt an internal nudge from the Holy Spirit to approach him. I shared my situation with James, who immediately responded, “Let’s pray together for you to conceive a baby.”

James leaned in closer, speaking softly, “Those I pray for usually find themselves cradling their newborns within nine months.” With enthusiasm, my husband and I placed our hands on my abdomen, and James gently laid his hand atop ours. He prayed, “Father, thank you for this couple. We agree that this womb will be fruitful and will conceive a healthy baby.” We all affirmed with an “Amen.” While I felt no physical sensation, I experienced a wave of excitement from the Trinity, affirming their intent to bless us with a miraculous child.

Sure enough, after years of trying to conceive, I became pregnant almost immediately. My husband and I were overjoyed, attributing this special gift to the loving kindness of the Trinity and James. This experience imparted two important lessons: intense emotions can cloud my judgment, and nurturing a relationship with the Trinity does not exclude seeking support from fellow believers.

This miracle continued to unfold throughout my pregnancy, presenting physical, emotional, and relational challenges. I faced health issues, including breakthrough bleeding and hospitalization due to severe morning sickness. After nine months, I was scheduled for labor induction, but after a week of unsuccessful attempts, a cesarean section became necessary. Thankfully, I chose spinal anesthesia, allowing me to remain awake for the procedure, during which I heard our baby's first cry.

Another unexpected challenge arose from well-meaning fellow Christians, who warned us that the devil was trying to harm our baby, though they assured us that God would protect him. Having encountered darkness in my childhood, I knew that the light of the Trinitarian Kingdom was far superior. Remarkably, I never felt anxious or fearful for our baby's well-being or my own. The miraculous conception provided ongoing comfort throughout my pregnancy.

Everyone faces suffering, but God remains faithful, promising to accompany us through our challenges. My relationship with the divine empowered me to grow stronger amidst adversity. Nine and a half months later, we welcomed a happy, healthy nine-pound baby boy, who has since grown into an admirable man.
