Chapter 1: Reflecting on My Medium Experience

This is a significant milestone as I complete my 100th article on Medium.

I never anticipated that I would remain committed for this long. Back in July 2023, I was simply exploring Medium, with no prior writing experience, and my expectations were minimal.

Surprisingly, my journey took a rewarding turn. I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing my narratives, connecting with fellow writers, honing my craft, and, astonishingly, earning income in the process.

In a mere six months, I transitioned from someone indifferent to writing to someone eager to pursue it seriously. It's quite remarkable. The journey has had its share of exhilarating highs and challenging lows, as I navigate the nuances of writing while determining my future direction.

Motivation, consistency, and discipline have been hurdles for me. There were moments I considered quitting and pursuing other avenues. Juggling the intricacies of the algorithm, shifting objectives, and unpredictable earnings has made this an ongoing learning experience.

Yet, amidst the challenges, the overall experience has been rewarding. After publishing 100 articles, I feel equipped to elevate my writing endeavors.

Now, I see myself as more than just a novice, which is an empowering realization. Having spent over six months on this platform, I am determined to dive deeper this year.

I’ve established processes that will enable me to achieve my next 100 posts in just three months. If my projections hold true, I will hit my goal of 500 posts by the end of 2024.

Chapter 2: Setting the Stage for 2024

With an increased writing frequency, I aim to refine my skills and boost my earnings.

My income on Medium has fluctuated considerably, which is expected given my inconsistent efforts. However, I am pleased with what I have earned thus far; for someone who had never written before, any income feels like a triumph.

By the end of 2024, I aspire for Medium to provide a steady source of income, contributing towards my goal of earning £10,000 monthly. Achieving this will require greater consistency and dedication.

My income journey has seen its share of ups and downs. July 2023 was my lowest month, yielding just $3.12 during my initial month in the partner program, which offered an enlightening experience.

Conversely, August 2023 marked my highest earnings at $42.36—a significant leap. Although I haven’t reached that level again, September 2023 brought in $39.44.

Cumulatively, my earnings from 100 posts on Medium total $155.27. While it may not be life-altering, it confirms that this platform can generate income with dedication and effort.

Looking ahead, I aim for this figure to represent my lowest month, driven by commitment, consistency, and continued skill development as a writer.

I’m enthusiastic about the upcoming year, eager to revisit this post in December with significantly improved earnings.

Moving forward, my focus will be on:
